Penrite supported TR Team for Le Mans Classic 2014 - the line up in detail

The line up you can follow here in detail:

Triumph TR2 (1955) PKV 693 – Neil Fender / Guy Broad.
Competing in GRID 2 up against 2 other TR2's. This car was the 'works' entered Tulip rally car campaigned by Autosport editor Gregor Grant and Steven Astbury on the 1955 Tulip Rally. The car is also reputed to have been the 'mule' car for the 1955 Le Mans 24 hours though it never competed there itself. Later the car competed at Goodwood in 1958 and has an extensive club competition history thereafter.

Triumph TR3S - XHP 939 - Barry Sidery-Smith / John Sykes.
Competing in GRID 3. Barry ‘sideways’ Smith is one of the oldest drivers on the classic car scene and renowned for his car control.  He partners John Sykes of TRBITZ in Cheshire. John also races a historic single seater Merlyn and has helped to develop the car having raced it at Mallory Park, the Oulton Park Gold Cup and at Le Mans Legends. For this years race a number of modifications will be made and it will be interesting to compare all three cars top speeds on the long Mulsanne straight.

Triumph TRS - 903 XPG – Richard Bull / Neil Revington
Competing in GRID 4 where this is the only TR running. Neil Revington owns Revington TR and competed at the Le Mans Classic in 2008. He partners Richard Bull or 'Bully' as he is known. Bully usually races bigger cars like Corvettes and is a semi pro driver with an upholstery business. This TRS replica features a hand crafted alloy body rather than the steel and fiberglass of the original TR - ’S’.  For Le Mans Classic 2014 a new, all steel engine has been commissioned which is hoped will make this car even more competitive.
